Montrose is located in the upper Uncompahgre Valley and is an economic, labor, and transportation waypoint for the surrounding Western Slope of Colorado, with a population of approximately 20,000 residents. It is also is the gateway to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and a transportation hub for the ski areas of the San Juan Mountains such as Silverton and Telluride.

In the past few years, Montrose has experienced a downtown and riverfront revitalization and become all but an extension of the nearby recreation destinations of the San Juans.  Further, Montrose has constructed an extensive recreational facility for the community.

The median household income in Montrose is above national averages, and the macro economics are trending in the right direction.  Montrose has a limited number of lawyers, yet all the legal needs of a thriving small community.
