Benjamin Kahn has represented commercial and individual clients with respect to major water, land, resource extraction and environmental legal issues. He also has published extensively on the topic of natural resources in the West.
Ben has focused his practice on the representation of private owners and developers of natural resources, and the natural resource needs of local governments. But he also has represented publicly traded resource companies and clients who are adversely impacted by natural resource or environmental development. These matters have included work on behalf of Indian tribes, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Wildlife Federation, the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund and Earthjustice. As a philosophical matter, however, the Group fundamentally believes that water and natural resource development can coexist with sound environmental practices and recreational needs.
